we used electrolytes years ago ray, but when ive restarted again ive used honey in the water and will also be adding glucose too as kev says........ ive stopped using all these fancy vitamins and potions and instead all i use is honey and cider vinegar, i dont know if cider vinegar is of any benefit to be honest but i do know honey is.........

don,t know if you ever read the artical in the , i think the BHW some time last year about some one who drank a glass a small glass of cider vinegar and honey mixed together and she lived till a very ripe old age with no aches or pains and was fit as a butchers dog . and this person who wrote the artical used it on his pigeon through out the season , it does not make them win but it keeps them super healthy its cheap but also very good . food for thought ???

i use it three times a week mixed with honey kev, all year round unless the water is freezing..........im sure its helped my birds have nice soft feathers. oh p.s. my grandma had prunes every day of her life vurtually, and never had any illnesses of any serious nature apart from old age, she eventually died last year aged 102 years old..............wonder if prunes in the water would be of any benefit.

| For me it has to be honey and a sqeeze of lemon juice
Always used it on race day as the birds first drink they had nothing else till i know that all the birds had, had there quota and would just fill up during the day then the next morning clean fountains out then give clean water

i myself do think they need them to aid recovery after a hard race especially. i have tried both ways nothing to help them or electrolytes in the water . why i,m asking is that i want something better than the one i get, not wanting a cheap way just a better way if you know what i mean.....keep them coming lads thanks
