Hello Pigeon Forums
Sorry to invade ur site ... i know nothing really about pigeons but am a big lover of animals and wildlife hence why i needed to write;
today i found a pigeon chick and an egg in my garden which appear to have fallen/pushed out of their nest ... the chick was very young and died and i was jus about to throw the cracked egg away when the little one inside popped his beak out and opened it. i peeled back some of the shell and the chick inside is breathing and appears the same size as its dead sibling found nearby
there is some blood from the crack in the egg but not much inside. i bought the half egg half chick inside and hav moistened it, wrapped it in my old clothes in a shoe box with a lamp over top for some extra warmth. he has been inside for nearly two hours and is still alive.
what shall i do with him ?? i didnt wanna pull anymore egg shell off as it seems a bit stuck and didnt wanna hurt it. my family think im nuts and should have jus left it to die but i cant do that!!
any advice would be greatly appreciated, i know its not a fancy bird or anything but i jus wanna give it a chance if i can!! thank you
