The N.E.H.U race from Melton Mowbray 21/4/2012 was won by Peel bros of South Shields, they took 1st club 1st fed, also taking 2nd and 4th club and 15 of the 25 birds clocked in the club......well done Peel brothers.

Hi all. I witnessed the 9.15 lib on portland yesterday and thought Id do a report on it. Weather. Strong west, southwest wind. Very cloudy. Cold. In my opinion ok to lib....just. 4 transporters liberated at spot on 9.15. The birds split into several large batches. This is when the fun began. The birds were struggling to orientate. One batch got going after 10 mins but most took nearly 20 mins to clear. There were still small batches after 30 mins. They were very testing conditions but I have no doubt when they found their line the birds were fine with a helping wind etc. I posted this because some days when they come back split up and gapy it can take some batches a long time to find a line from the off on a testing day. Hope you all had a good race and good returns. Cheers shy lad.
