feeding squeeker

Subject: feeding squeeker Sat Jun 04, 2011 9:29 pm

i lost a hen bird last week that was feeding 2 chicks the cock bird is feeding them ok but i was gobsmacked by what i witnessed this after noon. in the same breeding end i have a little blue chick that is due to turn over it actually flew up to the nest box and fed one of the chicks !has any one ever saw this occur ?or have i a special little bird?

when ybs are parted ive often seen them feeding or simulating feeding the other ybs.......your hen should be ok and continue to feed the babies.... Razz

have you never seen ybs feeding each other don, surely you have...???

just an update on the sqeakers -the other one is still feeding them its great to watch and i have a right soft spot for it now -the 2 younger ones have just started pecking so it wont be too long till there turned over
