All home today.....

our birds were liberated at 11.15 today from newark in a l/n wind, i clocked my first bird at around12.30 so thats around one and a quarter hours on the wing........dont know if its any good yet but will let members know later when ive took my clock in.

the bird i clocked is an exchange bird bred by sgw brown (steve) and also one of my chosen 5 birds, so hope shes done well, also a minute after clocking i got 3 come togeather but didnt bother to clock them, maybe kicking myself later.....hope not

winner in at 21 we timed in 26.53 might get 8th club

sent 41 got 41 back winner in at 12 0clock mine was 2 mins past but lost over a minute wouldnt drop somebody in the field next to me was shooting shotgun , was 12th club should have been in first six never mind

Sent 7 and got 7 back. The race was delayed by several hours (due to some escapees apparantly). It was a lot quicker race than I had expected and was told it was likely to be so my first bird was in the loft before I noticed it - it did do well though and got 1st club, but my others were well behind. Very glad to have them all back though.

got mine on the roof at 9.45 wouldnt come in and i thought i was well out of it anyway with that time, couldnt get it in till 10 10 and i didnt clock it.....turns out if id got it in at 9.45 id have been miles ahead of the others. these things happen though. she was 9th club last week so coming consistently so im pleased and had 10 out of 14 back

Thanks Don, she came well today. It's funny, last week she was 40 mins behind, this week 10 mins in front of my next bird. My winner last week was over an hour behind this week .

Steve youngsters and pigeons on the whole can make fools of use all mate, the main thing is you have had a good race and just hope you can continue till the end fingers crossed

Don I couldn't agree with you more, these YB's are great fun and I'm really enjoying it. The best bit is the seeing them arrive, as I'm either at work when they come from training on the club transporter or I'm getting home after they've got home from one of my own training tosses, I don't get to see the their arrival until race day. I'm just hoping I can keep hold of them - they do have to race on for a bit though. My plan is to get them to the coast then stop and keep them for next year. I do have a small(er) B team that's currently a few tosses into their program in preperation for the come-back races later in the YB season.

There is nothing wrong with that mate you stick to that game plan and you won't go wrong at all
