Young Bird Exchange Compitition Empty
PostSubject: Young Bird Exchange Compitition   Young Bird Exchange Compitition EmptyWed Nov 04, 2009 8:23 pm

Hi all been thinking of how we can make this exchange a bit more interesting, so what i was thinking our furthest y/b race is 200 mile, so i would assume that ur furthest race would aprox be the same, now i know they would more tan likley be on different days but it still could be done, all we would need is a neutral referee to judge the winning bird, what we would have to do is time the birds in post the velocity where finnished in club ,fed, or combine number of birds in club ,fed combine weather conditions wind direction, when all results are in the referee will decide the best bird taking into account all of the above, So if we all enter say 5 pounds winner takes all, we can send the money to David to look after if thats alright with him.
This is just my idea if anyone else asone put it on so we can take the best one on
Ken

that;s all right same as us up here in scotland our longest is 250 miles young bird
the exchange birds we get will be put into ever race as long as thy are fit.
and i hope the birds we exchange get put into all race points weather permitting.
it could be that by to time the exchange birds get to 200 miles that more than half of them are gone
and thats not counting the training of them.
it will be interesting to report every week be members the races the exchange bird are in at club level
if thy come home or get lost .

littlehen, you still unsure of your comitments for next season ? seem to remember you couldnt join due to work comitments or something like that.....could be mistaken tho. scratch think those that would want to join should make it known then ken and the members already involved could have their say on the matter...... Very Happy

well with us in scotland the chances are they will be flying in poor weather and the birds in england would have a better chance with times for the speed so dont think i will bother with that one but best of luck to the lads that go for it
