| I'll probably be sending 10 (my usual 6 plus 4 'newbies') to Swainswick which is our 90 mile come-back race. |

| They are - one of them (another gay pied) had a graze from a wire about 10 days ago but all seems healed now - it'll be their first race. Are you sending David? |

not decided yet steve, its billericay 172 miles for us this week and they have only had one training toss this week due to rain etc, they have exercised around home all week but im not too sure they are ready, and as ive only a few birds i might save them for our comeback race in a couple of weeks time.......plus my exchange bird which has been doing well for me has lost her mate she was paired to, so im wary about sending her as she wont have any incentive to fly home any more...... |

| they were the same in our club last week darren, only 88 birds went to reed last week compared to over 250+ the week before..........
we had a bad peterborough which was a disaster with only a handful clocking in the club, then it apears we had another bad race the week after from reed when a l;ot of birds were lost...........i didnt send to the reed race because mine were shattered frtom the previous peterborough
hope they come well for you anyway darren............ |

not at all since racing started david but my fellow club mates say they train 3 or 4 times a week but so long as the birds exercise about the loft well enough then i'm happy last time i trained was 3 weeks ago |

not at all since racing started david but my fellow club mates say they train 3 or 4 times a week but so long as the birds exercise about the loft well enough then i'm happy last time i trained was 3 weeks ago ive heard of this before darren, and i do think it makes sence as if they are exercising around home for an hour twice a day or in my case 2 hours once a day they are getting more exercise than if they flew 25 miles as a training toss.........im undecided as to which would be best but for this year i am more or less just experrimenting and test ing the water so to speak. |
