| I agree, the birds is the ones who live there, they must love their home, and must have a desire to get back there. |

| i have quite a lot of old pictorials and the lofts in them are as though they are just made out of old bits of wood and wire, but the pigeons in them are champion racers so it just goes to show what we say and it doesnt matter what it looks like. |

| ive had some right blonde moments doing the loft green, i got one of those sprayers and this cuprinol stuff, the sprayer spat out blobs, so we had to use a brush, then the colour was horrid on the smooth wood, it was then i read the tin, it said for all ruff wood, so now ive has to get another green for smooth wood, i know i should have read the tin first |

| Hi have seen plenty of lofts, some lofts you would live in them yourself and some that a good gust of wind would blow them over, but i is what makes the pigeon happy and if the pigeon is happy then they will want to race home (would you race home if you hated your home)
Can remember a loft visit to Paul Brantt he had an hen to fly pau and she lived in an box fitted on the side of the young bird loft, the box was no bigger than 24 inches square by 20 inches deep and was fitted with an anti cat trap and she also won from this box
As it already goes if the pigeon is happy then leave well alone |

| Yes Don , sometimes birds bring home other pigeons which are not so happy in their home. |

| yes you are right iany no the loft does not win races but it helps if the pigeons are in a happy environment which they want to be in |

| Hi David
Put them into a food blender to chop the up to a smaller size when you feed them add half an handful of peanuts to there feed, after a few attemps see if they are finishing there feed peanuts as well
Then when you have them out try and do it when they are ready for there fed then with half a peanut try the pigeons as when they are hungry they tend to try most things it is the same when you feed them a different corn and they leave it the old saying is they will eat it when they are hungry and the same goes for the birds
Once they get the taste then and get used to you feeding them the peanuts then they may start following you for extra peanuts |

| I agree with Don, put some peanuts in their regular feed, at feeding time they are hungry, they will try it, when they get used to the taste, you can feed them a few peanuts just before feeding time, if they getting the taste, they will be asking for more !! |

| I would say yes, but , they must not get it everyday, and not too many at a time, just after a training toss or race, for encouragement. |

| do members who give peanuts think it just makes the bird tamer or do they think they are quieter, more content and happier in the loft ? |

| I think it make them happier, as i can sense they asking for peanuts each feeding time, LOL, sometimes they approach me , as if they want something. I wish i could tell them that peanuts is only for special occasions. |
