Next week is the 200 mile race, I hope I do better.
I think maybe with me being the shortest loft in the combine, maybe my birds are not breaking from the flock when they need too.
Maybe the longer races will be a little better for me, I will not be rookie of the year but i enjoy raising a bird that I can compete with.
Although i didnt beat anyone in the B race this week.
It may take me a few years to even breed a family of pigeons to produce winners for myself.
As long as they come home for me i am proud of them.

keep trying chad,do,nt give up like a lot do,,its a long season,plenty of time

Keep in there Chad it is all about enjoying the sport and gaining experience with every race you will get better results as time goes mate

well done chad, looks like your birds are coming ok even if they are not in the top spot.........as its only your second race theres still plenty of races to fly.

Thank you all for the kind words. I dont plan on ever not trying to do better, but i am pleased to get most of my birds back from each race. It hasnt been a full year since the first time i ever touched a pigeon.
I have ALOT to learn, but i have the will to learn as well.

this is our 4th year with the bird.s.
the first year when we started with the young bird.s.
and the clocks were being printed out.
i use to ask if we had made the first 25 on the sheat
but NO. not this week john.
but 4 year.s on we are know able to compeat with the other member.s
so it will take time,

Thanks David, I will keep posting results unless anyone wants me too stop.
Tuesday 13 out of 18 came through the clock in 15 seconds. 1 hour 18 minutes from 55 miles.
All goes well we should have some in the clock for the 200 mile race.

hi chad if you have not done so go and get some advice on feeding ask a club member it is so easy to over feed they may also need some extra training, you also don't need any wind from the east at the start of your season good luck and don't forget always ask and try and make it the same club member
