| my yb loft is 10 ft x 6ft to house 30 ybs but made it into 2 sections 15 each side they were comfortable to not to overcrowded i would make 3 sections as i think the birds are tamer in small sections jmo |

| yb are in a 16ft by 8ft same with cocks but im going to shorten it down thisyear to house the hens in there aswell |

im thinking of breeding between 30 - 40 ybs next season, what size section would be ok for them so they are not over crowded ? |

| i think i would like a corridor along the front, especially if its going to be a stock or widowhood hens loft, its better for the winter and the bad weather........... |

| as i said i had 30 in a 10x6 they were fine all on the dark also but 40 i would think about 14 ft x 6 |

| i always had 2 perches per bird also had perches 10" wide that way as you went to catch a bird it would move to the back of the perch instead of flying out they did however treat them as a nest box |
