What racepoint do you dread the most and why

Mine is Cheltenham, over the years this racepoint has cost me dearly. One year I entered an open race and 16 birds went into a plane engine.

my worse race point this season just gone is reed, i sent 8 yearling widowhood cocks and got none back on the day.........two birds returned during the week, and ive seen nothing of the other six since.......

shit thats a whole lot a mess then . was the plane damaged?? i am dreeding the first one then all the ones that follow lol but at same time very very excited . just dnt want a crash right at the start of my racing career ya know.

That Cheltenham, I sent one of my best cocks as 2 year old, he had scored well as youngbird, did extremely well as yearling and scored over the water in our local 2 bird club. Everyone kept telling me to put him in the stock loft. I thought I would retire him as two year old, when he a few more cards.
He was my fav cock.
The plane incident was all different fanciers birds.
Didnt care much for the plane. LOL. The transporter got some grief

I always look forward to them mate.
I love our longest races on the South Coast, they have usually been my best results.

Just wait till you get your first outstanding bird Chris and it scores every other race. The first loss is always the hardest and it will stay with you for ever. Maybe it softens the blow for future good bird losses.
I just think the first one, hits you the worste.

leicester for me we had a smash at this racepoint in the yb season i lost 7

Ive suffered from bad smashes in the past, but have had birds turn up a week later. I don't know what it is, but it always seems to be your better pigeons that suffer.

i only had 1 back out of the 7 and he was found in a non fanciers garden totaly flown out and flesh on him at all but he is in the loft now back to normal nice bird to i think he is worth another chance gary as he did not enter another loft

I once had a truly remarkable hen, as a two year old, I sent her to Portland in a classic race, it was a morning liberation, two hours after the lib I received a call from a guy twenty miles away from the lib site. telling me he had her in his loft and she was going frantic to get out. He said she was in a bad way, I sent for her and put her to stock. She had never nighted out or ever been late.
I'm sure he's worth another try mate.
