club fees going up !!!

the club which i will be flying my ybs next season is having its agm next week, one proposal is to raise the club fees to £50 a year and also for the first 10 birds entered racing it will cost 80 pence per bird.....then 50 pence for each bird over that.......whats members views on this, and also how does it compare with your club fees and entry per bird ?

any thoughts anyone please ?

no thats just club fees. ring fees are seperate .
Ian do you get FUT rings or dont you bother?

until they change from fut to normal club rings then i wont bother ,people who had lost fut pigeons suddenly got them back after the race has ended clearly people either keep them because they know they are you best or hold them until after the race clearly to keep the competition down ,i think they should use your normal club rings

How would that work? as each fut ring is £10 and club rings are only 23p. so how would the money be raisede for the fut winnings?

no you would still pay £10 but nominate the rings you want to enter

i brought 10 fut rings last year and never sent to a race

That is past a joke for this type of cost for racing

No wonder people are leaving the sport after a few years this type of cost

why did you not enter,at 10 pound a ring you have got to in my eyes.a lot of money to waste 100 pound.tell you what if you have another spare 100 pound you can buy mine if you want as i want 10 this year

its more expensive than i thought when i started last year, like don says.....buy a loft , birds, equipement etc, then to buy clock, baskets and pay to join the club.....it isnt a cheap hobby is it. then weve to pay for food, medication and tonics etc....

They were ment to race, but sadly we had alot of set backs with the car being one of them, so no training could be done. Other wise they would have been working for their keep.
and if i ever get a spare £100 i will be having my hair and nails done. I dont know why but my hooligans mug me as soon as i go in and thre are a few that like to land on my hair. Perhaps i should invest in a good hat
