Medication

Hi - has anyone tried that new medication which is one pill and is meant to cure canker, worms and coccidiosis?

hi will, welcome to the site.............is it the harkers treatment you are meaning ? if so i would think its as good as anything else on the market, altho when i saw it, it was quite expensive.

the harkers 3 in 1 is a new one that came out end of last year time but i dont know anyone who has tried it yet

Yeah I think it was Harkers. I saw it on their stand at Blackpool Show.

should be decent stuff will, i would emagine..............its certainly easier than treating three times for each seperate illness.

i bought a 2 in one comi at b;lackpool for cocci ad canker for £10 which was ok, but the harkers probably would have been better but was a bit expensive in my opinion.

i personally wouldnt use 3 in 1 dont think it can be as effective as seperate treatments , i much prefer seperate treatments over the coure of three four weeks just my opinion tho

i agree with that ian,i do the same

move with the times lads look at the DAC line of treatments the best on the market by a mile and priced reasonably sean

still get good seperate ones though

and why on earth they charge the inflated prices ill never know but people buy them so they will keep on making them , ive been told buy a top winning fancier don,t touch the 3 in 1 with a barge pole they do more harm then good , but hey ho its your choice .

im on 3 in1 train it race it if no good bin it and put what bred it with um

i suppose the question has also to be asked that do they really need treating...? is it to cure or as a preventative...?

dont and never claim to be right all i know is ive done the meds and got nothing from it what i did learn was what i was told in the first place by an old man who is no longer here if it needs meds its no good bin it and im sticking to what he said
this is the same man who told me what to pick as stock and if they dont breed get rid it will never happen this is my veiw ive been out the game for 13 years but ill stick with the old man for now thanks

Yeah in my case it is a prevention rather than cure thing.

as we all know, its each to their own.....some will treat as a preventitave and others as a cure, some will not treat at all they bin them............if it works/gets results stick to your own ideas.

i was like that but things have changed so much over even the last 10 years.i only started treating these last 3 years ,before that i only treat when i needed to.nowadays they put that much crap into our birds they are weak as pxxs when it comes to ailments.example we use to treat for canker twice a year not now,every bloody 3 weeks in some cases.its getting silly and it costs enough as it is .thats another reason no one come into our sport and a lot pack in.too expensive
