Having been cooped up for weeks, I decided it was time for a day at the allotments.

Now we have a new pair of urban raptors. Here's one of a pair buzzards that has recently arrived on the scene. Now we have a full house. Sparrowhawks from the rear, Percy quarter of a mile ahead and now a pair of Buzzards on the old mill to the left.

It actually may be a blessing in disguise as they tend not to bother the pigeons much, but may keep the dreaded Sparrowhawks away.

i see about 5-6 buzzards daily around and near my house dont bother the birds at all Very Happy

It keeps gliding over having a look, but the sparrowhawk doesn't seem to have struck since.
Lets hope percy does the same Chris. LOL

It's been a good breeding season season up to now I need to pull my finger out, as my birds will ready in 3 weeks. cheers

Gaz have a few buzzards living close to me but one thing i have noticed is when in the air on the fields close by the crows attack the buzzard a bit puzzled mate for this to happen it is not as if the buzzard attacks the crows but the total opposite Question Question
