were 135 miles tomurrow strong wnw winds arniston puting all 30 hens over the forth they go that will sort out the good from the bad tomurrow .

i have heard sort the good from the bad many times yet many good birds go missing in a NE wind more than any other wind, there is a saying in fishing when the wind is from the east fish are least it could also apply to pigeonsgeorge

only sending 4 to leicester (100 miles)1 cock 3 hens from my team of 9 lol north east wind forecast at present but could well turn to east on the day ........we are basketing sat for a sunday race.good luck to all sending

well all mine have gone,going to be a hard one tomorrow again..not had a easy day yet,but it will sort them out i suppose

saturday weather in oxfordshire looks like NE wind speed 13 george

not sent it has to be the first time in 5 years we missed a race,
as 1 fed has cancelled and think there is a chance of a holdover tomorrow and dont want birds in baskets after last week,. and feel last week has took its toll on some of them so decision was easy to make to leave them all in the loft to fight for another day

just heard that some members in our fed wanted to send the birds to 240 miles instead of 175,unreal knowing its going to be a very hard day....that tells you something does,nt it

sent 26 hens out of 30 winds changing again . not WNW NOW northely at race point nw here tuff race tomurrow .cold too hope they wait a while before letting them off

those are only the stock birds mate but will have some YBs to try later on lol thanks Don yeh i will Lee mate their giving a N/NE wind at the moment with broken cloud but ill check it in the mornin 1st

I once crossed Barkers, Gits and Kellens into my Janssens, they wasn't the fastest of birds mate, but once it was a hard race they would always come good and plough through it.

im goin to cross em next year mate with busshearts and wildies to see how they turn out
