| hi evs, been having a look now and then....i think at one time a pigeon was bid on by a uk fancier, not sure if he still is the highest bidder tho..........i think they will make a lot more money yet, but i cant understand why some of the major uk studs arnt bidding ? |

| I see mark Gilbert was a friend of the late Ken Hine well Ken told me he could never understand why fanciers paid more at auctions than what he sold his birds for is there a reason for not buying direct from Mark just curious george |

| That would be too easy George. I think it is all kidology, they think they are summat special because they are in an auction, if only everything was that simple. Yep why not approach the man himself it can't hurt. There is one well known fancier that I have had much dealings with in the past, he tells everyone his birds start from £125 each, the fact of the matter is, he said this way he gets no time wasters and if fanciers were contemplating paying this much for them, then surely they consider it a bargain when they get there and they are only £50 each. |

| your right Gary i went with a friend to Ken Hines loft he show us all the birds breeding and said take your pick a few he was putting into the stock loft but we could have the nest mates he picked 4 and i bought him 2 all at £50 each which i think most top lofts are charging now george |

| just had a look how the auction is going, its disgraceful how the chineese are bidding and probably winning them all...........in my opinion if they get hold of them the janssen birds will be lost for ever and wasted/ruined by them. JMO |

| surely these top studs who claim to have the best available could bid and win some of these birds, in the adverts they all claim to buy only the best, where are they now ??? they are shooting them selves in the foot really because in future when they are selling janssens they cant claim to have the originals/best can they......... just goes to show they dont give a toss for the future of the hobby/sport, and only interested in making money...... |

| I think the Chinese, are going to hit the world all at once mate. Judging by the birds they have bought over the last 12 months from the sales of all the top fanciers, they have got pigeons from all the big names. There won't be a stud to compete with them, so if I was a stud, I would certainly be looking to buy some birds from big names just to be able to compete. Even talking to some guys at Blackpool some of the better names have even been approached by them and their agents. Like anything else in the pigeon world, It's a buyers market and big names sell. Graham's birds give a whole new meaning to Homing Pigeons |

| Here you are the avarage was
20 pigeons in this auction Final average: 21.390 EUR / pigeon
no much when you consider they were the last of the janssen family of pigeons
all the prices have been removed so you can not see the higest priced pigeon |
