conditions when pigeons shouldnt be released

opened 10 pairs of the 12 stock pairs which have taken ok 2 pairs a bit iffy , widowhood seem to be taken ok 24 pairs need these paired same time as stock as iam going to float eggs from stock loft into widowhood loft

same here ian, ive 10 pairs and floating from 5 pairs stock to the other 5 pairs of feeders......decided not to breed 40 ybs now so going for quality rather than quantity.( i hope )

yes david gutted for you but must not let it get you down many more to loose while racing, unfortunately , you never know still might get it back

I had one disapear for a week or so, but it came back in the end. I think it helped that it could see out. That was a stray hen that came in from Scotland and the owner didnt want her back so i sent the ets ring back ( strange they want the ets ring back and not the bird eh) She now lives with my brother in Worcester and he broke her to his loft.
So dont give up hope David

havnt seen him for a couple of days now so im accepting he has gone, at first i thought about not bothering racing as he was my best chance of breeding a decent yb to possibly score.....now im having a re-think to see what i can breed and most likely will float off just the stock birds under the others i have.
