i have my own thoughts on this whats yours? their a guy in our club who is a good flyer when he is in the company of all the lads having a cuppa and he is after having a good result he would say to the lads who havnt had a good result dont worry lads enjoy its only a sport. The same lad when he has a bad result and is on his own in garden goes mad.Lots of money involved in pigeon racing now .SO ONLY A SPORT?

To me it's my hobby, yes we all race to win, but you can't win em all. If I'm consistent I'm happy, if I win I'm extremely happy.

This is my second year keeping racing pigeons, and so far my birds have not seen a transporter yet, will start racing in July with the young birds, to me its the enjoyment of keeping them and flying them out, racing comes second in my mind, just my opinion.

its a hobby to me but i,m obsessed with winning,if i do,nt do well on race day i,m gutted ,i hate not winning especially when they cost you a small fortune to keep ,i want something back and winning is that something...not being fuuny when i say this but some just like to race and see them come home and some like me want to win every week, but we are all different and i,m not calling anyone for how they want to race but do,nt call me

as most members know i restarted about 3 years ago after a 20 year lay off from pigeons, ive found it hard to get back into racing due to one thing or another.........but i do want to win once im back into it properly as it gives you that bit back for all the hard work which goes into looking after them, plus the money will go towards their feed a little bit maybe.
