BRITISH BARCELONA CLUB
BARCELONA INTERNATIONAL – Members, please see detailed amendments below:-

Ladies/Gents,
If you know anyone sending could you please pass this info on???

Marking Times these have changed, please note the revised times:-
Penkridge – Sunday 1st July 2012 - start 8am finish 8.30am
Salisbury – Sunday 1st July 2012 - start 10am finish 12pm
Walkern – Sunday 1st July 2012 – start 2pm finish 4pm
Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time, as we need to get the wagon away on time......

General Timing Record
Unfortunately some details relating to timing and verification published in the 2012 Club Handbook require clarification. It is correct that pigeons will be double rubbered and it is correct that with conventional clocks, and the first bird only, both rubbers MUST be timed separately not more than 10 minutes apart. With subsequent birds only one rubber need be timed.
With ETS, again with the first pigeon only, one rubber MUST also be timed within 10 minutes of the ETS time (ETS users, please ensure you have a conventional clock set alongside your ETS clock. Failure to comply with this ruling will result in disqualification). For subsequent pigeons the ETS time alone will stand. The change from 5 to 10 minutes results from a relaxation of the Belgian rules but the important thing to remember is that if you miss that 10 minute deadline then STILL MAKE THAT SECOND TIMING as for the International Result your time will be taken from that second timing. The idea here is not, as some would suggest, to find a way to disqualify but merely the Belgians way of verification which they have done for years. They organise the races and they make the rules, so we must follow for the International Result.
As far as Verification is concerned our normal Rules apply so that means telephoning your Normal Verification Number, NOT the Secretaries who may not be there, within 1 Hour as per Club Rules. For this race we do ask you to Verify each pigeon timed, in race time, so that we can provide an updated provisional result over the duration of the race.

International Postage Result
If you require an international result, you will have to pay an additional £4.25, this covers the actual result & postage which we will forward on your behalf to the International Organisers

Wing Mark/Stamp - IMPORTANT
Note, when timing from Barcelona you also have to record the Wing Mark of your FIRST BIRD ONLY so to confirm you now have to record the “Wing stamp” as well as two rubbers with conventional clocks and one rubber with ETS as detailed above.

Regards

Mark & Clare Brown
