| HI JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS CAME ACROSS THIS FAT EYE IN YB THIS SEASON . I FLY IN THE NEC UP IN SUNDERLAND AND A FEW OF OUR MEMBERS HAVE HAD IT . |

hi mate yes heard of it loads have had some have treat for it and never told anybody they had it thats pigeon men for you , some say its a viral infection and if left to take its course will go in its own time after about 3 days or so ,others have used eye cream which you get from chemist and say it works others like myself beleive its a respitory problem in the head and needs the likes of tylan to put it right just my opinion all the best ian |

| theres only one cure and thats an antibiotic take this as you wish you need doxycycline, lincospectrum and tylan mixed, you might think it has gone with eyedrops but look at the ears the feathers will be puffed out , upper respitory but like i say take it as you wish |

enrofloxcin for 7-10 days is the cure i said for it mate but some people use the drops and say its worked |

| thats baytryl mate yes it will work its a broadspec antibiotic but i wouldnt use anything like that its too servere, each to there own tho hope ya get sorted the drops will clear the swollen eye but not the respitory |

| gunner i have some antibiotic eye drops which also contain chloramphenicol which is used for acute bacterial infections, as the ears , nose and throat are all conected i would assume it would cure anything within these that are infected........ |

| dox t is another good product and easy on the birds would use enroflox as last resort |

| some guys have had this and say its insect bites from small mosquitoe type insect i dont know as i aint exsperienced it but maybe thats why it goes away without treatment and could even cause a virus look at malaria not saying it is but worth a thought |

| Fat eye , Pod eye whatever you want to call it its really Chlamydia of the eye take it to a vet and ask. Its spread right across the country. If you havent got it now get some Doxycycline cos its coming! |
