A right mate, the reason why I asked was because because myself and Kev used Bamfords Irish mix and I think because of the large concentration of tares it contained they would not eat them all and they just refused to eat large amounts of them. I stopped using it for that reason, kev carried on with the mix but they never ever ate them all. Try mixing it with some other mixture that doesnt contain tares.

Generally when hungry pigeons leave grub they;re telling you summit. Have a taste yourself see if they taste bitter. Had this with white peas in a mix only recently, also my mate who I got a few bags for at same time, same batch. He's hard on his birds (and tightwad) but ended up chucking it away.

Is there any barley in the mix? If the pigeons are eating the barley out before the tares then there's good chance the birds know the tares are dodgy. In a mixture barley is usually the last thing the'll eat.
