i usually rind at 7 days old steve, i know some do it earlier but id rather leave them a day extra and be fairly sure they wont come off.....altho i do check them for size round about 6 days old to see how big they are and if i should ring then...

had them a bit hard to get on somtimes, but have you ever tried to get one off.....? i did, put the ring the wrong way up and couldnt rest thinking about it.....decided to take it back off and put it the right way round, what a job it was...but it was worth it in the end i thought.....

yes i did same but left it on really struggled getting ring on, so to get it off would have hurt it, best bird i had bred from a guy in halesowen, he was in hospital late putting ring on ended up deformed foot

odd time ive had one thats been a bit tight steve ive put washing up liquid on the foot and used a little bit of force and eventually got the toes through.....then to get the back toe through the ring ive used either a cotton bud or one of those thin wood things pointed at end, cant remember what they are called ???
