race birds not pairing after 3 weeks

had to take hens out after 3 weeks not pairing will try them again in a week or so any ideas

hi john, did you lock them in the boxes together.....? were they showing to each other at all....? obviously they have been seperated, but for how long and are they yearlings or older birds.....?

last years birds david going to try looking all the cocks in there boxes and let one out and put a hen in see how that fairs as am not geting anywhere with them all stock are paired

Hi John it could be the cold thats set them back, The stock birds know whats its all about, so they just get on with it.
Ive paired my last years young birds up and things are going ok now, But what a pain they can be.
Do you sit in and watch them when you let them pout of their boxes a pair at a time?

true amanda, my yearlings are still not doing as they are told.........all stock and 2yr olds are on eggs but three pairs of yearlings are still not settled and layed yet......keep locking them in the boxes and altho they are paired up they wont defend the box and like lunatics around the loft.....
