| That is the reason why when you see someone eyesigning they use a light this is because, using the light makes the pupil close up and show the full colour of the eye |

| Yes don you are quite right, the pupils do contract and expand just like ours, the eyesign is best looked at in the sun as the pupil goes to its smallest then and you can see the full eye. Also the colours are brighter and stand out better. When I say small pupil I mean in natural light some birds have larger pupils than others, just looking at them on the perches or in hand in the loft you can see this. It really is unusuall to see very small pupils in natural light, but they are the ones to look out for. |

| Old mate of mine had his old cold lose an eye don't know how he won 12 firsts plus 2 firsts feds, he sent him to a midweek race as a joke and won it after that he went straight in the stock loft
But he never breed anything much good |
