much the same here, ensure covered under wings and picking up themselves (generally find earlier you breed they will be approx 4/5 days older when ready for moving than summer youngsters) actually moved our first round at the weekend, put pics on the gallery but dont know how to post in a topic

I always find you cant be too early if they are eating, but if you are too late they are a bit slow then and dont learn as quick. If you know what i mean.

altho when they are weaned most of them are eating and drinking ok, last year i had a spare hen and left it in the yb section with them.....i found it made a big difference to learning them to drink from the fountain and come down at feeding time when i shook the corn because she already knew the routine and the ybs followed her.

Also i place the beck into the water fountain so they know were the water is and this is also left on the floor open for them as soon as they are drinking then the drinker has cover placed over it so they have to put there head through to drink then it gets moved of the floor to the ledge

late y/bs will be in race loft, earlies will be in seperate loft, making a temporary wire netting aviary to put on outside walkwat, so it clips onto loft then it can be moved from earlies to lates during day, room at back of earlies loft to store it
