whats gone wrong

brian took our old birds for a chuck just down the a19 about 15/18 miles at 8.40 let hens up straight over a19 heading for durham 10 mins later put the cocks up headed straight for hatlepool nowt back till 10 oclock 2 hens out of 11 ten mins later 2 cocks out of 7. thats our hole team 3.35 this afternoon a hen turns up had hit something not badly hurt but no race for her this week end still 2 cocks 2 hens missing is this what is happening else where cheers terryp...

yes had it a few times myself and now I just single toss one after another as soon as they clear and its worked well with no losses since lost 2 good birds prior and with my ybs it will be batches of 6 never the lot released together again for me ..mind you I only ever breed 30 ybs max so not to much of a problem atb

that happened to ours the other week terry ,strange at it was also down the a19

BOP scattering the birds flying in all directions hitting trees and other things to get away from them and taking forever to get home just a regular occurance up here

it realy does not matter your location these days ....bop is everywhere in abundance ...all over the south west people are getting the same with training and percy is even hitting the training trailer on release so trainer decided to find new location but birds returning just the same ....its nationwide now and we all will have to experience what some have had to for some time but we were warned and shame on them who sat on hands and did feck all ...ya know them that moan into their beer but don't do owt ....jmo atb

no doubt about it ...over any race distance your birds will encounter a bop strike within the bunch its racing in ....but never liberate over their terrain ie never near a quarry or wetlands ...bop can see for a good 10 miles on a good day

as del says this is common in Scotland and only going to get worse at present my birds dont get out in the afternoon  i have lost 15 to percys in last 6 wks  was watching a pair on Saturday over my loft  not real sean

this is where the percy feeds in nots look at the carnage thats been going on

those who havent sat on ther hands what have they achieved? we get a write up in the book once in a while to tell us the air time we have got about our cause and we now have a lady who works 2 days a week to fight our cause. we will never beat the rspb as we dont have the people in the right places and are too busy paying for solicitors to send each other letters. Get on with racing your pigeons and except it and stop giving your pensions and hard earnt cash as thing wont change....JMO  ATB.

i see yer point of view but the issue needed a united front from all the organisations and more so the fanciers themselves well over a decade ago as now its to late ....I have to agree the raptor alliance is all talk and a few pics and not a lot else ...I would think the rspb are having a giggle at it no doubt
