Bad day today for me had to put my old Palamos hen down as her back end had droped although she was 12 years old she was all ways fit and still laying last year, what will be will be

Thanks lads sorry for her to go being my first one, as it happens I still have two here 1st section Palamos and 2nd section Barcelona but it should give me a bit of a boost to get some more from those distances as well

Knock's you about a bit etc Ginger, like you say when you have to put one of your favourites down type of thing. May only be a ball of feathers too some I suspect. But some become more than that over time because of there deeds etc.

Yes Ginger--its a sad day when things like this happen.
I kept 2 Cock birds 21years.They "needed" to be put down. Which I could NOT do. They were 1976 birds.
I left the house one day  and another flyer and my wife put them down for me.
They kept the Bands/Rings--and I still have them
I had to get rid of my birds in Oct. 2007.  Age & Health.
I started collecting Racing pigeon Rings to stay in the sport and joined a Yahoo Group of world Wide ring collectors.
I have about 5300 different rings from 94 countries.
my oldest ring is a 1939.
If I knew how--I'd post pictures of my collection.
Maybe a Member will tell me how?
Or maybe send them to another member and they will post them for me?
