weather could be dodgie saturday, heavy showers and electric stormes could hit anywhere, sunday best day, hope my fed dont think of holding over, not good for young birds, may not send, dammed if you do and dammed if you dont

just got a text saying basketing put back till Saturday...........

fed me birds now so they gona be in loft for 2 day without exercise....... Evil or Very Mad

my preparation was for them to peak Saturday, they fked it up now........... lol!

Your lucky your Fed put basketing back 24hrs our Fed are still basketing as normal we will decide if we are going to send we don't want them held over its only there 2nd race.

why organisations have to have a race at all costs is beyond me, there is no thought for the welfare of the pigeons,we all want to race but be sencible cheers

The 500 was a no go due to weather. Postponed it a week Then cancelled all together. Young birds postponed a week then "ship at own discretion". weather again. Lot's of guys uptight about the 500. But why the heck brutalise a decent pigeon? High losses people tend to quit all together. Many races end up being tough weather ones. Here and I assume there also. Usually if the birds can see the sun on release, they are let go. Was years back. Weather on the course did not really matter. But again it is up to the fancier to decide whether to ship or not. I have won some tough ones, only day bird etc, but lost quite a number of good ones also. Now a days I am more selective. Young bird misses first race no big deal. 125 to 160 or so does not matter. The birds know the direction of the way back. They do not know the distance so will fly until they get home. JMO.

miserable and raining here today, will feed birds as I would normally on a Thursday, and then tomorrow as I wold on a Friday........as edgie says, its better they are at home in the loft rather than in the baskets for two days cheers

our fed has put back 24 hrs but i doubt if we will get a race any chance of hold overs mine will not be going always next week
