| have a yearling cock 1st round he would not stop driving his hen even after she laid so lost that round now the hen has gone down again this time he won't take his turn sitting on the eggs do I move the eggs or leave a few more days would like ybs off the pair george |

| how long since she layed 2nd egg George...have you tried locking him in the box when its his turn to sit ...just a thought ,never had this problem before |

| just can't believe how stupid I have been I thought they had taken on top off the box can see now the hen went into a box and the cock can't see this might close off the top ad see if he goe's in the box |

yes I agree Darren, much easier to raise the boxes up as far as you can.........shouldn't need to box in. |

| ah rite I put mine on the back wall fixed as high as possible to the gap at the top and then fill in the top of the boxes with timber leaving a 2 inch gap ...don't like rearing babies out of a nest box as they can fall and get scalped atb |
