its now starting to look real now i moved me first two yb over... im useing them as stock birds ... as there unrung never had me rings in time ....

nice birds phil gets better once y/bs are there

before you know it youll be over run with youngbirds phil

nice ybs phil, i always feel better when the birds are out flying rather than kept in......it re-kindles the interest for me, now you have your first ybs its a step closer to racing......

They look nice wait till they all come over then you be lovin it.

yea these r the ones that i swapped eggs from the 2 rollers that we had first eggs off and the lad wanted to rollers and asked if i would swap egg so i didnt know what i was getting

Phil don't like saying this but it is sods law that one of them will be a well beater you watch

yea don few lads said that to me today as i had them out on the platform today ... there is a guy next door to me he said u should of asked me to get u two rings for them but i dont like pesting them i go to loft and lock me gate behind me ... and he said today that i should of asked him about the rings he knows where the secotry lives ... never mind ...
i might just send them on the odd race for training ...

im hopeing too do well and aiming to work hard to get some where ... and philip is going to try two with me ....we r trying to make mind up if to send the 5 old birds to the first race as we have settled them we have ha them out everyday for 6 days and there comeing in straight away ....

i was going to train my 11 09 birds phil, lost 1 1st time out in next 3 week lost 3 more, changed my mind, concentrating on y/bs, 4 jansens trying for flying out stock, 3 louella van lints giving away

i wouldnt personaly race anything that has not been raced as youngbirds i think they need this schooling owever some would disagree but i bet you loose most of them

If you school the youngbirds well when young then they can miss being raced as youngbirds

yea someone told me today about that then just give them plenty of training for next season .. or just send a few each week see what happens then u know what there going to be like ....

Phil if you give them plenty of training (schooling) you can then see how they will shape up for the following season

Plus doing this, the top flyers have fresh pigeons for the following season, which as youngbirds have been allowed to develop and mature

was reading something recently and the fancier said that yb racing is meaningless and worthless.... , i know some dont rely too much on it but it must at least give an indication to if they are any good or not surely....? i know if i won 1sts with ybs id be over the moon.
