| thought I would do a post on my one loft as it happens, as its about to start for the 2016 season training starts this week.
Well the last time I entered a one loft race was 2010 the Europa classic which I won second, as I haven't raced this year because of home circumstances I had spare birds so sent some over.
I was a bit scared to send though because the only youngsters I had to send were 6 months old and I had trained them, but was assured that they would be ok as its on an Island and they would break them in no bother, a bit unconventional I know but worth a try.
It seems my birds have settled as Arona posted some pictures of the birds this week and they said they are all now flying out. Guess what out of 3000 plus pigeons they took a pic of one of mine so I know I got one still there..lol Keep you posted |

| no its not cheep martin but im in a 3 way syndicate and we had 750 from the last race so we sent 6 this time its down to luck on the day ive seen birds arrive and just sit there and others have come and took the prizes but thats how it goes i think dehydration is the biggest hurdle to get over they wont all make it if a head wind in the heat |

| First trainer today derby arona, seems we lost 1 pigeon at loft before the start, birds took about 10 minutes to come as it was a short toss.
I was first welsh pigeon and 6th british bird back 50th out of the 3000+ doesn't mean very much at this stage but nice to see they are settled, as I sent birds that were very old about 6 months.
so exciting to watch it all live today as it happened, but the next few weeks will be the judge as the distance increases. it was 25 degrees and blue sky what a life . |
