| 100% hatch rate again this season, the last 2 hatched today. A local very successful long distance fancier had a whole round of clear eggs this season from his yearlings.
How have members hatch rates been. |

| I've got 10 young birds in the nest. No second round, except for my 2 soontjens from Devo. Darren your little hen laid today. Devo I rang the young birds today out of the 2 soontjens you gave me, real crackers they are, the parents are looking after them really well, nice clean bums and plenty of down. All good so far. |

| My soontjens built a massive nest to, I had to keep taking bits off. Much bigger nests than all my others. How funny that all our soontjens are the same. |

| I give the birds that are feeding youngsters golden boost (fortified Calcium) in the morning. Some don't like it so don't touch it, I've noticed that the old birds that are pumping the young with golden boost grow at a much quicker rate than the others. |

| not telling my granny how to suck eggs hal, but did it have black minerals...I once had the same thing happen a few years ago and I think it was because of this......last year same happened again and Darren suggested black minerals because of the salts in it, happy to say this sorted the hen out and she was ok. |

| we always put the bowl in the nest box up-side down so the hen can get up away from the ck ...sometimes its like the magic roundabout in the nest box but they soon calm down it may be an idea to leave an agreesive ck and his hen in a spare section until loved up |

| No minerals, just regular stuff. He was really driving hard. Very aggressive pigeon. Soon will let them outside when weather breaks. Few years ago had a BB cock kill his YBs in the nest and throw them out so his hen could lay again. Best 500 miler in the loft. After that floated eggs off him. Have many more cocks than hens. So race widowhood this year the German way. ie. All that are fit go to all the races. Every weekend. |
