Yes, but I love every minute! Mostly lol
Phil are their many fanciers in your region of france phil No Ray - very sparse really. We have joined the French equivalent of the RPRA and a club so we can get rings and race next year. Our club HQ is about 45 minutes drive away. A lot I know, but not far for over here. France is 17 times the size of the UK - so it's BIG and the distances are much greater than in the UK. The crap thing about racing over here is that racing finishes at the end of July - don't ask me why. We are toying with sending a few birds to One Loft Races, but they are so expensive to enter. We are also trying to find out if there are any International races we can compete in, just to give us some more excitement and to try and extend our season. It seems nuts to me that racing should finish so early. In the UK, racing has only just finished (I think). I would like to find out if there is a French equivalent of the National Flying Club, British Barcelona Club, Central Southern Classic Club, etc. But I am not really sure how to go about it. I can't believe that people go to all the bother, time, expense etc, to stop racing as early as they do. For more details, watch this space. Phil |
