| we got 5 in the nest but their going out to another member and 2 others have laid expecting the racers to lay throughout the week ,going to have to take a few off them enough to let all the pairs raise a single yb each not going to take ybs off everything in the race team though |

| We're doing ok, a few minor setbacks but all in all things are looking good, get these ybs out the way and straight onto darkness, we are going to try and compete with these lads at the club with their dark ybs birds this year |

| heater a must for water. Not because the birds drink a lot but heck of a job when all is frozen inside the waterer! Hard to get the ice out. The black seeds are sunflower. They do not eat them yet. Come in the wild bird seed I add to the mix. |

| not good at moment, paired stock 3rd jan, but those that layed didn't sit tight until 10days ago, had one hatch last night so that pair were first down and are 7 days later than I thought, cold snap put them off I think, |

Disappointing when things don't go quite to plan Redrog etc.Text book scenario & real life can be out of kilter I would suggest at times. Especially when the weather tends to be on the crap side as such. Cheers. |

| Most of the hens laying now. Minus 9 C now daytime so they will have to sit the first egg tight. The smart ones seem to know this. Right of the pics is the plastic mesh divider. Section is 8 foot by 8 foot. Had to halve it due to small amount of birds. So I can tame them. Tame birds are not slow trappers. Bad trappers are a management issue, not a bad bird.

Going to plan . Had a look on that other site etc of photo's of some ones first round there as such. 29/36 was my tally, or 80.5% . Normal, going to plan ??? or some improvement required one could ask . ***** |
