Didn't realise you could get a free download for this, better dig out the old laptop from the attic, these tablets are really handy, but when it comes down to downloads like these the iPad won't cut it

I just buy a a4 size diary every year for any pigeon info back pages get the pairings in them and laying and hatch dates ...anything to do with the birds goes into the diary and at the end of the year it gets stored away I find this much easier to refer to as I have never been that good with the computer and its workings

I downloaded the software package that was recommended - but to be honest I couldn't quite get to grips with it.

We use a similar system to Darren except I put all the data into our laptop and my wife keeps meticulous records on paper. We think in that way, we have the best of both worlds.

Keeping good - correct - records is a MUST in my book - without quality records you really have no idea what you have in your loft, where they came from, and what they have done. Unless, of course, you have a memory as good as a MENSA candidate.

Have my records in notebooks actually. And open office. Free. Did not usually bother with pedigrees just performance. But not having written down the parents few years ago gave away birds I should have kept. We live and learn.
