| Dogs, cats, rats, monkeys etc,. Have been food for centuries. Our perspectives change. What was acceptable then is no longer so. One cannot change a society. My opinion, videos of pigeons released in to the China Sea do more damage. PETA gets on a roll! I no longer post pics of dogs killing critters here. Big Brother may be watching! |

| I've no problem with people eating dogs, like the guys have said humans have done it for centuries, it's the method of slaughter that's a problem, torture because the meat will taste better, where the hell did they get that from , PETA will have a field day, may keep them off the pigeon racing for a while |

| as some have said, eating dog is normal to this barbaric scum of a race of people, but the way they do it is more of the problem, then again what do we expect from the Chinese ....?
also other so called religious slaughter, halal, and kosha should be banned they are both cruel and barbaric, I would certainly ban them both If I had the power, and also ban their satanic religions from the uk too. |

| I agree, barbaric. Worked in a slaughter house as a kid. Then a butchers. Yet loved tripe, sheep brains and black pudding. No more. I am a vegan. Eat meat of course, to get the vegan nutrients of the animals that grazed. Recycled! Draw the line at insects (honey excepted). Isn't much meat on a cricket leg! |

Draw the line at insects (honey excepted). Isn't much meat on a cricket leg! Interesting Hal "slaughter house/kid" . My first job as a kid that knew nothing about life in general was in what I would best describe as a milk producing factory "major league" but they produced some of the best milk on offer there or any where on the planet etc & that rubbish stuff people buy today in a can at a discount price was a No No there. Sadly it left me scared for life with the working conditions I had to endure there for over 2 years, day in day out 6 days a week after school etc week on week, month after month before sadly I found some relief & went de-beaking chickens to take the stress factor away from my small body at the time.So !!! by now most here would be wondering I suspect what type of terryfying job with such cruel conditions did I have to bare as a young teenager earning those few extra pennies for my boss back then as such, but please don't jump to an early conclusion when I state what I did as more than likely you will be wrong I suspect . So here it is, I had a paper round, but no ordinary paper round as such delivering papers to the normal folk I had/was given the daily task of delivering the papers/magizines to every bed in every cubicle in a large Marternity hospitial "Baby boom time" for mothers only, right on feed time at night, fortunately or unfortunately you all can be the judge & jury here & maybe just consider what many a time I saw on an on going basis there & why as a young lad I finished up a total wreck by the finish . ***** |

| People in India would class eating cows as sacrilege and un-holly, yet most of us do it all the time.
I also worked in a small slaughter house when I was young, it all turned my stomach at first, even using the humane killer made me feel terrible, but then it becomes part of everyday life.
What about the bears they keep in captivity, the mink they farm, snakes they skin without killing them, shooting rhinos and elephants and leaving them half dead with their horn/tusks cut off - etc - etc.
There are hundreds of atrocities that go on every day, in may places around the world. It is really crap - but we all have to eat.
Is it the act of actually eating a dog, that you dislike, or is it the way they are treated when they are alive and the dispatching of them you don't like?
I think I have eaten dog and I know I have eaten cat many times, cat stew is one of their main meals in Malta.
And on and on it goes.
