Same, same Smile Smile one hopes it finishes up all OK for our Phil etc. When one thinks of those type people rorting the system as such Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes the specialist type folk that work on Phil's type accident deserve every penny they get from my perspective. cheers

Amen to that Knackered - the surgeon was amazing - really neat work I  think and he was right there for me - NO waiting - well maybe 15 minutes, but that is the way in France.  If one needs to be seen quickly, one gets to be seen quickly.

That is just about the only good thing about France - you get immediate medical help if it is needed.  Take my Liver Transplant for example - I only had 8 days to live without a new liver, and they found me one in THREE days. That would never happen in the UK, don't know about Oz or Canada.

Hospital visit this morning at 09:00 hours, we will be able to tell more after that.

Have a great one everybody and all the best to those who are racing this weekend.

Phil
Many years ago Phil my wife while on holiday at the beach etc stood on needle that went through the main nerve to her big toe which was about 1000 th the size of a hair so to speak & her specialist at the time stitched it back together again !00%. So it's truly amazing what they can do when required as such. Also today here being good friday we have a special day of donations for our childrens hospital here which last year raised 17 million odd dollars for the kids there on good friday etc & when one is given the pleasure of seeing what the specialist that deal with young kids in their hour of grief can do to just give them a better life, one can but only have admiration for their skills. Enough said Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes or you may just have an old man crying here Wink Wink.  cheers

So here is the gory stuff:-

I have returned from the hospital where they changed the bandages on my fingers.  This was the first time I had a chance for a good look at what I had done.

Images below.

Do NOT scroll down if you are squeamish.

Notice the very shiny false nails that had to be fitted as I had basically destroyed my real ones.  I am not sure if I will keep the silicon nails for ever, or whether the real nails will ever grow again.

Happy days!

True O/S Smile Smile at times a very fine line etc when one finds one in a Phil type situation. Mr one hand Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes wasn't all that far way I would suggest for our Phil there as such. Now Wink Wink we have seen how horrible his fingers appear & one can but hope lol! lol! lol! he looks a damm sight better in the flesh so to speak Smile Smile. cheers
