PostSubject: Eggs Gone !!!!   Wed Jun 28, 2017 9:33 am

around dinner time Monday I decided to remove all plastic eggs from under the birds, I removed around 30 solid plastic eggs and around 10 real eggs, and placed them in a bucket......I left these on the platform along the front of the loft and thought I would sort through them later in the day and put the plastics in a bag for next year.

anyway, a few hours later I go over to the loft and they have all gone........... scratch scratch

I think it was squirrels as the dog was going mad all afternoon chasing them along the back fence, little did I know they were pinching my eggs....... lol! lol!

any thoughts anyone....??

Magpies, crows, jays, they will all take eggs David, but my money would be on magpies if you've got Lots of them around, we are plagued with them here

yes roy, ive loads of magpies around the loft, and crows........there are a few big nests in the trees all around the lofts.

so you reckon its crows or magpies and not the squirrels ?

Whatever it is that has nicked your eggs - They will get a bloody shock when they try to eat them.
