Young birds. Empty
PostSubject: Young birds.   Young birds. EmptyThu Aug 10, 2017 2:49 am

Young birds. Trained the unraced ones (15) to 20 miles today. Tomorrow 35 miles. Will ship them this weekend if weather is reasonable. 155 miler. If unsettled weather will not ship unless moult is good. Last week for a 155 er. Then shortest rest of program is 205 miles. Then the feathers have to be right. As of today have enough birds for next year. 8 to eliminate. Rather do it by attrition than culling. I have paid my dues for the young bird program. I just cannot train them that distance cheaper. Will fly some to 320 miles if I can. However, not set in stone. Hoping is all.
