| The thing is David, if someone like me entered a bird, they ask for a pedigree when you send the bird in, but I haven’t got many pedigree pigeons so I’d just have to write ring numbers, it’s no good to anyone if I wrote the birds out of sick note and oily. |

me too steve, ive very few with pedigrees.....and like you say, a load of ring numbers mean nothing wrote on a piece of paper. some ive seen on there are exactly that, although pedigree`s/ numbers on a piece of paper have never really interested me. |

| yes your right don, hopefully it will go up yet.......I`d hate someone to get it for nothing (unless its one of our members) as it flew over 6 hours on a hard day to get home, it did us proud really. |

| David, you said someone is going to get a cheap pigeon.
What do you think the forum's bird is worth?

Phil well phil, tumley lofts are advertising the full brother to the 81st pigeon in the rpra final (our bird) for £150, so bearing in mind ours flew for 6 and 1/4 hours on a hard day to get home, ours is a decent pigeon, and its currently going for £53. http://www.tumleylofts.co.uk/product/17e849-cock-dai-evans/ |

| In that case David, yes I think you are right, this bird should fetch a good price.
We have a superb Dai Evans hen that we got from James at Tumley lofts a couple of years ago.
EVERY single bird she has bred for us has done really well. We have 3 hens from her and they all flew the whole 2017 old bird season up to 400 miles. They are all only yearlings this year and two of them have won good prizes and the other one has always been back well inside race time. Which I think is great as they had never seen a race basket before this year.
Our Dai Evans hen is quite a small birds and throws small to medium babies and is a fabulous mother. We are thinking of selling her is anyone is interested.

| if I bid and win the rpra bird I might be interested phil........... I did have a couple of bids on it, but that was mainly to push the price up as I felt a pigeon which had done us proud was worth more than 35 quid......I put £50 on it and luckily it has helped push the bidding up. even though the bird is still cheap, I don't really want to win it as ive already far too many birds..... |
