i was lookingt in boddy and ridewood and find lots of different brands selling stuff with lots of different vits and stuff to boost immune systems and stuff.shouldnt birds get most of the stuff they need from just food water grit and minerals.surely if the birds need something else then they find it out fielding.how many guys have different views on this subject?

Food does not provide all the required vitamins needed and this is the reason vitamins are added to ensure the pigeons get the required vitamin which food can not provide

most of this is down to making money out of flyers, some good most no good

i think a lot of these manufacturers/suppliers try to make the fancier believe that if they give their products it will produce winners, all they are interested in is taking your money........

all well and good using natural products but if you want to clear say for instance canker would you use a natural product or would you treat with a medicine would they have the same effect , so ken do you only use natural products , i use preventitives then when it comes to the big races then i treat properly to get that lift,

Ian i treat for coxi canker and worms with medicines before breeding i use propolis each sat after racing which is a natural antibiotic, also garlic cider vinigar are good natural antibiots which help to keep coxi,canker and worm counts low

same here ken but somewhere thro race program you have to treat again for the same its ok in moderation but some people treat every four weeks regardless

ray just use cider vinegar and put a garlic clove in the drinker aswell

Race the cider vinigar and garlic i get from asda, but if you go into a health shop u can get the cider and garlic vinigar already mixed but this works out a lot more expensive, its cheaper to do what ian does and put a garlic glove in the bottle of cider vinigar

Ian after the main treatment i do not treat them again, this is what im saying we have been brain washed into treating them every four weeks, do we need to or is it more money for the manufavctures of these products as its them that tell us u must repeat evry 4 weeks or so,

would just like to point out that every where we look there are potions for this and suppliments for that, all at quite high prices most will agree.........this is because most fanciers are looking for a secret which doesnt exist to make their birds winners. on the other hand when did we last see grit, (which is a must for pigeons) advertised in the same way ???? never or very rarely, thats because grit is cheap and they make very little profit on it............
