| Hi lads it's my first race this weekend from Newark and it's 100miles but my hens have had three 30 mile chucks and they have been flying well around loft would you put them straight to race with the less training |

| hi phil, glad to hear your racing this season....I think if the hens have raced before, and are coming from training well, then they should be ok if the weather is decent.........I`d be in two minds like your self, but they should be ok I think. |

| No one with common sense would purposely send a pigeon if there was a unreasonable possibility of not giving it a chance to perform to it's best ability.
On the other hand if you do not test a pigeon in all kinds of situations you will not eventually get a team which will perform in all circumstances.
A pigeon does not need excessive training tosses if it can be made healthy and fit at home, training does not improve it's homing ability nor anything else.
Regards.

| Defiantly not they need more training as three 30 mile tosses isn't enough if they get off track say good by to them or they will come back and be out for a couple of Weeks its not the distance its the time on the wing that kills pigeons |
