| hi showracer, yes he has always been a show pigeon fancier hasnt he, but i seem to remember reading he was going to try racing if im not mistaken... did you see our member chris perry offering some good quality show birds to our members free as long as they paid carrage...? |

| i once had a red ch show racer many years ago, it mated and bred a pair of ybs with a racer and i actually raced the ybs........they never won anything but did manage to home in a reasonable time tho` she was a lovely pigeon to look at and handle and she also had what would be classed as a good eyesign. |

| Thats why i think eyesign is crap, I have show pigeons with good eyesign but can't fly ??? BUT thats only me, there might be some thing in it ???? |

| yes, i know what your saying.....ive seen some eyes which eyesign men would say were top breeders, but they have been the eyes of fantails so it does show its not just the eye alone which needs to be considered in deciding a pigeons worth.........
im not a big beleiver in eyesign either, altho sometimes do like to have a look and like to see a rich iris on a bird |

Yes Doug was always known for mainly having show pigeons but he also raced and raced well here in england in the national races winning his section quite a few times and was also well place in the open results |
