end of term meeting

club meeting last week, took a baterring this year went from 12 members down to 7 with sometimes only 4 sending, fed did us no favours allowing other clubs 2miles away to join instead of making those lads join existing clubs but they don't fancy being small fish in big pond, anyhow we hope to have 2 new members so on we go, I took highest points winner by 30 odd points which says it all but still beat some top flyers so pleased anyway

Sounds much like my Fed here etc Rog unfortunately, with what has been happening at your club there as such . In the end thou I suggest, one can only beat what there is to beat type of thing & so well done with your results for the year .

you can only beat whats in front of you and no corridor flying in Wrexham eh so the birds did well ...its the same here we lost 2 members and down to 12 but may have 2 or 3 joining 1 for sure ,in our open which is pretty much same as a fed (60 odd members and 6 basket stations)
...people bang on about birdage especially the south flyers in my area but its funny as when most have a pop at the north they soon realise its not easy and down tools and head back to the south route ...you can only race against whats there and for me racing south and only 60/80 miles every week is not good racing ,well done rog you had a good season

our club meeting last week too, usually go to all meetings but didnt bother this time........didnt see the need as there is usually nothing to say of any importance, so could be using my time to do something useful at home instead .

i doubt very much the club will be still functioning in the next 4 - 5 years if drastic action isnt taken .

ours is next Tuesday ,same old same old

Same, same here David but at a Fed level as such unfortunately. They have would you believe, a 15 year plan in motion as I speak etc . 1 down, 14 to go type of thing before we all reach paradise I'm told here in a pigeon sense as such .
