| Great results from small team, looks like they're having a good moult ready for next season, hopefully they follow on next year. Healthy birds with age on their side, got to be in with a shout on their day. Houben X van Reet is my choice, but all are nice looking birds, congratulations on a good season.

| Proof of the pudding etc;
If they have done it ?.
Looks count for nothing other than condition, you only have to look at all the present and past winners, on looks many would have been culled just after birth.
Always nice to see winners looking the part though.
Same with all sports including humans.
Regards.

| Anyone would be over the moon with a season like that oldstrain and no doubt Alfie is also over the moon too.
As a site intent on helping possible new fanciers I feel we must not suggest that only good looking pigeons are worth anything.
It may be that in doing so they only pick the pretty ones etc;
Good pigeons come in all colours shape sand sizes and need not cost a fortune, it is the commercial boys who are putting off with all the BULL they spout, putting the emphasise on the bigger the price the better the pigeon etc;
Cannot see why you should not have a better season next year, hope so.
Regards. |

oh they did it alright and could have done more but we have a 4 bird limit clocking at the club ...our club has a rule no ets but the big players in the open indeed are all on ets with birds getting clocked on the landing board we actually missed topping the open twice on the decimal point ,as for pretty pigeons I don't like them I like the blues and dk cheqs as you can see by the pics...It would not bother me if a bird was a ugly duckling type (flat head or deep keel etc)it would be treated like any other as for expensive pigeons I agree they need not cost big money "mine never" just sourced from good racing lofts from the 4 corners and good friends "deal with good people not dick heads" first words with a seller count for a lot,at the end of the day enjoy yer pigeons and treat them well and they will give something back well most will...average healthy pigeons will beat the very best if not treated correctly,health is the number 1 issue with pigeons...more now than ever with so many propped up on medications atb |
