- hi mike, glad it's all going well for you. I take it you joined a racing club? good luck and best wishes pal
Hey Colin, Things are going well - I saw your loft and it turned out great. Really nice job my friend. I will be joining the club the first of the year. For now I have been talking with the race club secretary and I get the feed from them now. Only problem is the club is over an hour one way but I guess it could be worse! I hope everything is going well for you- did you do any racing? My last club was an hour away. However, they made arrangements. I would take the birds in, get the clock set etc,. For clock off would open the clock, here without travelling, and send in on line the times of the birds. Then take the tape and clock next shipping night week later. Results were done after my times were sent. Saved many hours and much gas. As for distance racing..send whatever you think is ready. Disregard colours, strains etc,. You will be surprised at the results! Best performer to best performer. Works for me. 100 miler or 800 miler. Won with them. |

I hope everything is going well for you- did you do any racing? Sorry for late reply Mike: I just trained my small team to about 25 miles as they were a bit late bred to race. Have application in to join club at the moment so should be ok for a few races next season all being well. Work still taking up most of my time but that's life I suppose, grateful for secure decent employment as it is to be fair. Best wished with your new recruits! |
