Started the aviary at last, taking longer than I thought but once it's done that's it I suppose.
Got a few days off work, hope the weather holds. This is where the hens will winter only coming inside the shed on an evening and through the night for roosting, then out in the aviary through the day, all weathers unless driving rain or snow, will have a solid roof and half clad back and gable end so some protection, keep the weight off them hopefully as they wont get out much after another few weeks.

No I cut a sheet of white UPVC for the top bit darren, cut out shape with jigsaw for bob wires that I'll fit later. The hens will fly out through here and trap back through shed window but they can still get through aviary any latecomers or hens messing about wont come in. I'll put a small shelf on the outside.

Just making it as I go along, aluminium frame and galvanised mesh, rest of UPVC sheet will make the roof. Good forecast today if I get cracking should get the bulk of this cracked off before dark.

If the pigeons turn out as good as the workmanship put into the loft you will take some beating.

Hope they appreciate all the effort put in.

Regards.

Agree 100% Smile Smile handy, being handy with the tools etc O/S Very Happy Very Happy & especially when you take pride in what you do as such like Barnie Wink Wink. Now Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad reminds me here of some one with the complete opposite way of doing things etc. A plumber of sorts would you believe Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Recent brand new two story house here, down pipe for the water from the gutter bounce bounce 4 inches from the corner at the top & 12 inches from the corner at the bottom Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes I would have sacked him on the spot Wink Wink for even considering doing such a thing in my day on the tools Smile Smile. cheers
