Same here with the side roads, there are containers along the street with salt, Ok for footpath but how can you do all the road?. Think it would be hard for the gritters because they would maybe damage any cars parked on the street. Some on our street have up to four cars next door to us have three, one on the street. Had damage done with a gritter once, damaged paintwork, got in touch with the Council who put me in touch with the NRCC who asked time and place, came back their gritter was there at that time and paid for repair. But feel it would be very difficult for a gritter to do our street, but is annoying. Thing to do, give all the wives a shovel and salt and let them get on with it. Regards. Regards. |
