What beats me oldstrain is why the RSPB say they are under threat, their own jargon says they are a deep woodland bird, the falcon a cliff bird yet they are both in towns and cities and our song birds are getting less and less.
Their own bumf says that a sparrow hawk will kill 10 small birds a day at most times of the year, that is 3,650 small and song birds to keep one of these killers alive and to breed.
Just what good does a sparrow hawk provide in response, NOTHING, the vast majority are never seen they go about their killing small victims in places often not visited by the public, those not able through overpopulation move into town and cities and fanciers back gardens, but as is often the case apathy on behalf of the general public allows the raptor fanatics to go on introducing even more species of raptor.
Could SCREAM.
Regards.
