| Seems the majority of UK experienced terrible returns yesterday, many organizations with velocities below 1000ypm and many empty perches, some fanciers with majority still missing. North road, south road, wales, scotland all got hammered at some stage. In some instances there was cloud and a litte rain but in many cases it appeared to be a dry clear run. Hope more return. |

| Think there is something amiss.
The weather as we normally consider it has been more than reasonable, yet most fanciers are seeing under performances and losses or really late returnees.
Weather people say that there has been significant changes in the weather patterns world wide, but the birds that migrate seem to get back and forth.
However, the house martins that bred in the neighbours house eves for the past couple of years has not been seen this year, could be coincidence, but never seen so few this year, used to see many swooping around when walking Misty seen very few this year.
Think Borris must have something to do with it David.
Regards. |

| Been saying that from the beginning of the season jet as has David.
The wild birds are not acting the same as normal.
No one knows what the Chinese and Russians are up to with regards to technology that may affect nature as a whole and migrating and homing birds in particular.
Maybe experimenting going on.
In my 80 years involved in the sport there has always been bad races and losses many due to bad liberations, but birds are being lost in near ideal conditions.
Feel fanciers will soon say enough is enough, proven birds are being lost hands over fist never as before.
Will be interesting to see what happens for the rest of the season.
Regards. |
